Payment Information and Cancellation Policy

Terms:

A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking, paid either with VISA, MasterCard or check.

Full payment is due and payable no later than 14 days prior to sailing and is not refundable.

Reservations may be cancelled at any time PRIOR to 14 days of sailing for any reason with a full refund, excluding the 25% non-refundable deposit.

In the event of any weather conditions, favorable or unfavorable, rain checks will be given for any future date. No refunds of deposit or balance paid.

A late fee of $100 per student and/or 15% on Bareboat Charter balances will be added to your unpaid balance 13 days prior to your arrival date.

Any non payments of late fees, tuition or Bareboat Charter balances will be referred our attorney for collection.

IF YOU ARE NOT PLANNING TO COME AS PLANNED...CANCEL EARLY!

For your convenience, we will charge your balance on the 14th day prior to your arrival,  with your permission in advance.  That can be done easily by sending an email early or indicating that by email when you make your reservation

In the event of a student's or charterer's personal reasons for not completing a class or fulfilling the charter time, no refunds will be given. A rain check will be given for any future date for the unused portion.

Sailing classes include classroom time, which is time not spent on the water sailing. Classroom time can vary from class to class for various reasons.

Students choosing to live aboard during their sailing class do so by their own choice at no additional charge. Students choosing not to live aboard during sailing class for any reason, i.e. weather, noise, condition of the boats, comfort aboard etc., has no bearing on the cost of the sailing class. No tuition refunds will be given and students are responsible for securing lodging elsewhere at their cost. 

Sailing classes do not include food and beverages.  Our billing for sailing instruction is from 9:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Florida Keys Sailing has the sole option of assigning boats for use in any sailing class. Class sizes could vary based on availability of boats and instructors or weather conditions. Any changes do not warrant any refunds or rain checks.
