Your scheduled arrival would be @ 12PM on Day 1.
The departure time is based solely on the tide.
Departure may be delayed by several hours.
When you request your trip you will be pre-informed of an approximate departure time.
Once the boat departs, you would be “hands on” with the operation of this vessel. This includes steering as well as handling the sails… with the Captain’s help of course. Sailing is based on the wind. Therefore the distances as well as the direction cannot be determined in advance of sailing. Usually, we sail about 15 to 25 miles per day. We would plan on anchoring for the night in a protected area with ample time to enjoy the anchorage and prepare for nightfall. Although we will make every effort to sail as much as possible, motoring is normal and should be expected while aboard. Motoring is necessary to charge the various systems aboard as well as to meet our destination arrival times on schedule.
Once the boat is anchored and secured, and the generator is deployed, cheese, crackers, salsa or other snacks and beverages would be served. The dinner meal would be prepared by the Captain and served when ready. You may eat in the cockpit outside or at the salon table inside. Dessert would follow as well as coffee or tea and more beverages of course. Clean up is done by the Captain. You would then enjoy quality time, read, enjoy the evening, or watch a DVD.
The next day, breakfast would be prepared by the Captain and served when ready. The boat departs when the cleanup is completed, and the systems aboard are checked. Another 15-25 miles are sailed that day and the daily cycle repeats.
Each Cruise should be completed by 12 PM on the last day. Here again, the tide may be an issue governing the exact arrival time. The Captain and passengers would depart after the boat is docked and secured.
For an additional $150 charge per party you are welcome to prepare any of the “leftovers” aboard the boat or dine ashore at your expense and then stay aboard for that night.
