3 Day Powerboat Operator Class
Powerboat Operator
Students will learn to responsibly skipper, and mate an inboard powered vessel
during daylight hours within 10 miles of land in moderate wind and sea conditions.
Classes are taught aboard our 25'6" Dusky powered with a single inboard gasoline engine.
Whether you are an experienced powerboater or a beginner, the skills learned in this course
will give you confidence to handle a powerboat on the open sea. You will learn boat safety,
rules of the road, navigation, advanced anchoring techniques, docking in tight quarters, boat systems,
tides and currents and most of all, handling of a single screw (propeller) inboard power driven vessel.
Completion of the course will enable you to take friends or family on safe boating and fishing trips
and explore the coastline its harbors and marinas with confidence in your boating skills.
3 Day Powerboat Operator: Classes are taught on three consecutive days.
