4 - Day Coastal Navigation &
Advanced Coastal Cruising Classes
are offered weekly year round on any
4 consecutive days based on availability.

Tuition includes 4 nights aboard,
testing materials and provisions while at sea.

Students will learn Coastal Navigation and Advanced Coastal Cruising.  These skills will teach how to act safely as skipper and crew aboard a 30-50’ boat operating day or night on Coastal and Inland waters in any weather.  This level builds on the skills from ASA 103 & 104.  Students learn a lot more about navigating and sailing in more challenging conditions.  When possible we will experience 2 night sails, navigating and completing man overboard recovery drills combined with an offshore passage of 20 miles or more.

Experiencing one night sail is mandatory for this course.

ASA 101, 103 & 104 and “The Annapolis Book of Seamanship” by: John Rousmaniere
